Bio
Tracy Pennington of Madcap Mosaics creates fun, unique, practical and soulful glass mosaic art.
Tracy’s main goal is to create inner connection—person with place, senses with body, soul with soul. She believes art has intrinsic therapeutic power to transform us. Whether it delights the senses, invites serious inner contemplation, or enters into the unconscious experience, her art is made as a gift to all of those who encounter it.
The tangible quality of her art is just as important to her as the intangible. The use of premium and environmentally-friendly materials is a priority. Tried and true techniques are relied upon, and new methods are thoroughly tested.
Tracy takes pride in being easy to work with. She is flexible, and enjoys being a creative problem solver. She cares about getting the details right and believes a job isn't finished until the customer is happy.
She loves collaborative projects, and enjoys helping others express themselves through small pieces of glass. Tracy is happy to work with businesses or organizations who want to include their employees, customers or members in a part of their project.
Tracy's glass mosaic murals can be seen at Our Lady of Peace Hospital in Louisville, Westport Road Kroger in Louisville and the Maker's Mark Distillery in Loretto. She also does residential backsplashes, fireplaces, walls and floors.
