Weston Glass Studio is located in the Artisan Village of the historic craft community of Berea, Ky. Visitors are welcome to tour the gallery and watch as master craftsman Michelle Weston pulls 2,000-degree glass from the furnace and coaxes it into elegant forms. Weston specializes in one-of-a-kind sea life sculptures, and coral reef and tide pool paperweights. Inspired by the delicate ecosystems of shoreline tide pools, these weights invite closer inspection and introspection. Each piece contains an array of marine life including sea anemones, urchins and starfish. More than just ordinary paperweights, watery ripples complete the illusion in these enchanting aquatic sculptures.
In addition to one-of-a-kind pieces for the gallery, Weston produces a line of giftware that includes glass pen-holders, ring-holders, starfish paperweights and seahorse ornaments. Wholesale inquiries are welcome.
Weston has been working with glass for 25 years. She holds an MFA in glass working from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio.
