Bio
Greg Kirkland has worked with wood most of his life. This self-taught artist shares a bond with the wood that he turns, drawing an inner beauty out of each piece as it is shaped. There is a delicate balance at hand with the wood turning process. If conditions are not right, pieces can crack or break and the process has to start over. It is this need for patience that has taught Greg a respect for the wood and his art.
Greg has a natural affinity for creating exquisite one-of-a-kind pieces from fallen trees from across the bluegrass. Each piece of turned wood is unique and illustrates the history of the tree from which it came.
