Bio
Florence Newman has been sewing for most of her life, and has also been involved in many crafts. Early in this century, she decided to combine these passions and began creating one-of-a-kind, quilted handbags. She collects fabrics from many sources and machine quilts them herself. Many of these bags have machine embroidery, which sets them off from other similar bags. She makes her zipper pulls from polymer clay. Her purses have bottoms stiffened with plastic canvas and inside pockets of clear vinyl.
