Music: Solos, Duos, and Trios
Stephen Mattingly has been performing professionally since 2002 in premiere venues across the
United States and Europe. Highlights of his concert engagements include performances at
Carnegie Hall in 2009 and 2010; the Guitar Foundation of America Convention in 2009 and
2013; the Tampere Guitar Festival in Finland in 2013; the Silesian Guitar Autumn Festival in
Poland in 2012; the Iserlohn Guitar Symposium in Germany in 2004, 2007 and 2012; the
International Guitar Institute's Guitar Festival in Las Vegas in 2008; the Mannes Guitar Festival in New York City in 2008; the Acadia Guitar Festival in Canada in 2006; and Burg Altena in Germany in 2002.
Minimum Technical Requirements
Stage size: 10 feet x 10 feet
Lighting: Sufficient for framing the artist. A professional lighting system is preferred with adequate personnel to operate the house system is preferred.
Sound: Venues seating more than 200 may require a sound reinforcement system. The artist can provide a system suitable for halls up to 500 seats if advance notice is provided in negotiations with presenters. When the presenter or venue provides sound reinforcement, it should be in good working order and be equalized for the venue prior to the artist's arrival for sound check. Neuman KM 184 or similar microphone is preferred. Microphone should be placed on a short stand approximately three feet in front of the performer’s chair or bench, offset to the right of center.
Other: The artist performs seated on a bench or chair without arms, to be provided by the performance venue. The artist prefers a 90-minute setup and sound check period, but can complete the process in 60 minutes if necessary. Setup and sound check should be scheduled to finish one hour prior to performance time.
