Dale Pyatt

Music: Solos, Duos, and Trios

Multi-award winning songwriter Dale Pyatt has penned songs that cross many music genres including Americana, bluegrass, new and classic country, roots, and even island-style music. On Feb. 7, 2013, Dale released a new self-titled album that includes a collection of his original songs and those co-written by Bill Castle, Mark “Brink” Brinkman, Charlie Hall and Steve Thomas.

A long-time supporter of the Secretariat Foundation, Dale performed his original song, Run Secretariat Run, during the 2011 Secretariat Festival. In response to demands from the festival attendees, this toe-tapping tune honoring the Big Red champion was released as the first single from Dale’s new album and is also available for purchase at

With Steve Thomas, Dale is co-writer of Life Goes On, winner of the 2012 International Bluegrass Music Association’s recorded event of the year award. The song appears on the album of the same name issued by Musicians Against Childhood Cancers and released last year on Rural Rhythm Records. Proceeds of the album benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

In addition to solo shows, Dale tours with The Chicken Grease Band, performing high-energy concerts at festivals and venues around the country.
