Uncle Mike has taken his unique style of Appalachian mountain music to festival, school and variety show venues from Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia to Tennessee and Alabama — to rave reviews and repeat performances. He is a regular at such events as the Appalachian Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio, Frontier Christmas in Old Washington, Ky., and The Whispering Beard Folk Festival in Friendship, Ind. He is also a respected dance fiddler and enjoys playing wherever folks want to hear honest to goodness string music of the hills. Once you see him fiddle and sing, you'll not forget Uncle Mike.

Uncle Mike Carr performances promote and perpetuate awareness and pride in the Appalachian lifestyle with traditional music that is inspiring and encouraging to all.

If he’s not performing at a school, festival or dance, you can often find Uncle Mike at one of several 18th century or Civil War living history reenactments.
