Lexington Children’s Theatre has been professionally touring Kentucky and beyond since 1974. The tour company travels with one primary and one intermediate production package in the fall and spring to provide age appropriate and engaging art for all elementary and middle school students.
The company performs one to three shows a day and roughly 200 shows a season. Each production is up to 60 minutes long and takes 60 minutes to set up and 60 minutes to strike. Although the company performs primarily in school gyms and auditoriums, they also travel to several libraries and performing arts centers. Pricing is based on 300 audience members.
In addition to productions, the company can also facilitate theatre workshops, classes and talk-backs. Each production comes with a play guide that includes activities for students and families to do before and after the show! Comprehensive play guides include a play synopsis and a number of pre- and post-show activities, all designed to assist in achieving the Kentucky Core Content (KCC) and to integrate the arts with your core curricular subjects.
We are more than happy to provide venues with a promotional package which includes the show synopsis, press release, logo, promo photos, poster, and educational play guide. We are also more than happy to work one-on-one with a venue and brainstorm ideas based on their marketing needs.
