    Bio

    Taylor Dye is a professional musician and singer from eastern Kentucky. She earned her bachelor’s degree in music with an emphasis in vocal performance from Georgetown College, Kentucky. Taylor plays a plethora of instruments including guitar, piano, mandolin, fiddle, dulcimer, ukulele, etc. She pursues her own music career by performing all over the area, but is also a member of the Kentucky Arts Council’s Teaching Artists Directory so that she is able to share and teach her love of music to students across the state. ​

    Potential Residency Project

    Residencies she offers include, but are not limited to:
    Traditional Appalachian Music and Instruments, Songwriting 101, How to Perform, Old Time Sing-A-Long, How to Read Music for Beginners, and more! Although she is young, she has had many years of experience working in the classroom, teaching kids of all ages, and she independently teaches music to more than 30 students. Taylor believes it is very important for students in Kentucky to get an education in the arts, and specifically music. In Kentucky, we are surrounded with rich heritage and deep roots and it is her personal mission to pass the musical tradition and culture on to the youth of today.
