Bio

In the three years storyteller Graham Shelby lived in Japan, he collected stories you've never heard and will scarcely believe.

These include ancient folk tales and ghost stories like "The Inch-High Samurai" and "The Snow Woman" (ancestors of today's manga and anime) as well as original personal experience stories like "The Japanese Basketball Trophy" and "The Attack of the Japanese Pre-Schoolers."

In those tales are echoes of some of the same stories Graham heard his parents and grandparents tell while he was growing up in Kentucky - stories of heroes, monsters, mishaps and magic.

Put Graham Shelby on a stage and you'll be treated to a lively presenter who weaves together elements of history, theater, language and culture as he shares his unique perspective on two disparate worlds joined together by one basic human truth - everyone, everywhere loves a good story.
