Growing up on a small farm in central Kentucky inspired Theresa Shelton’s creative side at a young age. Starting with a Jon Gnagy drawing set at age 10, she has pursued her love of art for over 40 years. Under the tutelage of such masters as Robert Hoffman, Cheng Khee Chee, Gerald Brommer and Charles Gruppe, Theresa has developed her own distinctive style. In oils and pastels, she captures the essence of her subjects in impressionistic realism.
Theresa is an exhibiting member of the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen, a juried member of the Central Kentucky Art Guild and a member of the Oil Painters of America. Her work has won numerous awards in juried shows in a vast array of venues and hangs in public and private collections across the United States and abroad.
