Living and working in Fisherville, Cecilia Ridge draws her inspiration from the rich colors of her surroundings. She paints whimsical characters and objects in multiple layers of dye on silk, velvet and other fabrics. This layering process results in lush variations of color. Cecilia uses the finished fabrics to make functional pieces including scarves, pillows, ties and purses.
