My love of ceramics began in college almost 20 years ago. Once I got my hands dirty, there was no going back. My passion for creating in clay has pushed me to new definitions of myself.
The colors, shapes and textures of nature inspire me. I’m not always sure what I’m making until I start fiddling with the clay. Then I may see shapes in the drape of the clay or in the textures I am applying. I draw these shapes out into pictures, scenes and discernable forms. My responses to everyday life are conveyed through my creations.
