    Bio

I recently renewed my love of photography through working with high dynamic range (HDR) image processing. This technique captures a range of luminosity that is far greater than that of traditional photography. It allows me to create highly detailed images that have a painterly feel.

My favorite subjects, those that inspire me daily, are found in my hometown of Corbin and throughout Kentucky. The more I shoot, the more I see things differently. I rediscover beauty in the things that are usually taken for granted. I love making these everyday things look new and vibrant. As the photographer Earnest Haas said, “I am not interested in shooting new things – I am interested to see things new.”

My photography has been featured at the 2010 World Equestrian Games, with a 13 x 18 foot display of my “Cumberland Falls in Spring," and in “The HDR Book: Unlocking the Pros' Hottest Post-Processing Techniques” by Rafael “RC” Concepcion.
