As a treasure hunter, Gary is constantly on the lookout for what he can "see" in a piece of wood and how he can transform it into a piece of art. The wood itself inspires him - with every piece he encounters having the possibility of beauty. Trying to not waste any of the wood he so carefully harvests and chooses, even the smallest pieces are crafted into his boxes and accessories. Using a band sawn technique, crafted from locally harvested hardwoods (walnut, oak, cherry, sassafras, cedar, maple, hackberry and butternut), with attention to design and detail and a beautiful, hand-oiled finish, Gary’s pieces are heirloom quality and make beautiful gifts, for yourself or others.
