David Toczko is a long-time resident of Elizabethtown Kentucky and a Western Kentucky University graduate. Toczko’s interest in photography began in 1985 and has grown from a passionate hobby to a career as a commercial photographer. His work is internationally published and has been acclaimed for its richness and depth of color, texture and clarity. His artistic vision is to create photographs with both visual and emotional impact. Recent efforts are focused in his signature style of low and natural light, which adds a dimension not always found in the studio, while maintaining a high degree of technical excellence. While the subject matter of his photographs is widely varied, David most enjoys photographing the architecture, objects and surroundings of the Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, thoroughbred horses and cultural events such as The Louisville Ballet. Toczko is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Canon Professional Services and, in 2007 and 2008, the archive team for the Kentucky Derby.
