Bio

Brian Glover is a family-friendly singer-songwriter from Richmond . He sings a wide variety of original music and cover songs, covering classic and modern country, classic through alternative rock, and many styles in-between. His original songs tell stories of his diverse life experiences with raw honesty, sometimes with cheesy or ironic humor to laugh at tougher situations. He also sings more embellished, cleverly-worded parody and low-brow humor songs that typically get good audience reactions from folks of all ages, such as "All I Have to Do is Meme," "Summer Sasquatch Hunt," "Back Home to Kentucky," and many others. Notably, his Halloween themed sets are crowd favorites.

Listeners have compared Brian's classic sounding vocals to the likes of Johnny Cash, Eddie Vedder, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Aaron Lewis, among others. His writing, depending on the song, has been compared to the likes of John Prine, Keith Whitley, Weird Al for the Halloween parodies, and more.

In live performances, Brian sings a lot of upbeat original tunes with a few deeper songs thrown in the mix, accompanied by his acoustic guitar, and often times, a cajon stomp box. Brian has performed at a wide variety of venues from Farmers' Markets to bars and restaurants to radio and television, such as Knoxville's Blue Plate Special, local radio, and WKYT. For longer sets, Brian sings some great covers and requests.

Brian was nominated for three Josie Music Awards in 2024 and is up for six in 2025 (Male Multi-Genre Vocalist of the Year, Male Southern Rock/Country Rock Artist of the Year, Alt Rock Song of the Year for “Yesterday is Gone," Country Album of the Year for “Missed the Whole Damn Thing…", and Songwriter achievement awards for his currently unreleased original songs “Absitively, Posolutely" and “If These Walls Could Talk." “Standing at the Crossroads," from the “Missed the Whole Damn Thing…" album, was nominated for Southern Rock/Country Rock Song of the Year in 2024. Various songs have been featured multiple times on Radio Wigwam and The Hootenanny Café Radio Show, the latter of which dedicated the April 27, 2025, episode to having Brian as the Featured Artist.
