Anna's EsSCENTials Bodycare develops herbal artisan soaps and body products with an emphasis on health and well-being. Owner Sharon Lombardo specializes in olive oil products, using essential oils, herbs, and other healthful skincare additives. Over the years, her products have developed a loyal user base, and she continually produces interesting new scent combinations for her soaps.
Sharon enjoys the craft and the artistic side of soap-making, as well as the scientific side of producing products that get results. “The natural bodycare industry has become broadly recognized in the last few years, as people become more aware of the dangers of applying chemicals used in commercial skincare to the outside of their bodies. Quality handcrafted products offer wonderful and effective alternatives.”
Her company is named for her paternal grandmother, Anna, who helped Sharon learn to appreciate the natural and home-crafted things in her life. Sharon encourages beginning soapmakers and, in addition to her Web site, maintains a blog with experiences and tips & tricks for both customers and other soapmakers.
Sharon worked with the Kentucky Platinum 10 organization to develop her Ultimate line of skincare products. Other favorites are her Kentucky Home series and Farmers' Market series.
