    Bio

    Jeffrey and Henrietta Scott own and operate Highland Raku Studio and Gallery in Columbia, KY. Henrietta taught art in Adair County while Jeffrey was a teacher and principal at Adair County High School. In 1986, Henrietta received the Governor's Award in the Arts for art Education.  Jeffrey and Henrietta graduated from Eastern Kentucky University and did their graduate work at Western Kentucky. University, Ball State University and Texas A&M. Henrietta is now an art instructor at Campellsville University and Jeff is an instructor at Lindsey Wilson College.

    Their work begins with a search for harmony of form and decoration, inspired by a strong interest in the American Art and Craft Movement. In addition, they have sought to synthesize a variety of working approaches with stains and terra sigillatas with the raku process.
