Bio

For over 25 years, the Ceruti Chamber Players have been amazing audiences with innovative programming using music of well-known and lesser-known composers from the 17th to the 21st centuries. The ensemble performs classical music in the traditional format of chamber music, e.g., music performed by one performer per part in venues ranging from an intimate setting to concert halls, typically requiring five or fewer musicians and no conductor.

The critically acclaimed Ceruti Chamber Players have performed at the Osaka (Japan) International Chamber Music Festa, Master Musicians Festival (Somerset, Ky.), Musikfest Bethlehem (Penn.), Piccolo Spoleto Festival (Charleston, S.C.), and the Indiana State University Contemporary Music Festival (Terre Haute, Ind.).

Concerts can be 45-75 minutes, with or without intermission. Spoken introductions to each piece engage the audience’s attention with a few interesting facts or fun anecdotes. With a core instrumentation of flute, oboe, double bass and piano, Ceruti Chamber Players’ concerts provide an excellent way to bring classical music concerts to your community on a budget. The ensemble also offers educational programs for grades 4-5 or high school level. These concerts can be performed in the schools or as part of a library or children’s concert series.
