Bio
You will find my paintings include landscapes, florals, interesting people, and especially, animals. All these subjects are very beautiful and interesting in their own way, and to capture their nature in paint is a challenge. However, when accomplished, you have a piece of art that can be loved and appreciated for years, and perhaps through generations.
Some of my animals are from The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado, perhaps the largest sanctuary for wild animals in America. Each animal's story is heartbreaking, as they were mistreated and undernourished all their lives. When rescued, they eventually became healthy and were given a habitat that was created just for them. I attach the animal's life story, which includes their name, to the back of their painting to help the owner of the painting become emotionally involved with their animal.
Loving life in Kentucky, I seem to paint a lot of horses. To see these amazing animals roam the green pastures of beautiful horse farms, or to watch them race on historic tracks, is inspiration to reproduce their elegance for others.
I also love to paint pets on commission.
I have more paintings on my website at www.lindaraddatz.com, including a sign-up for my newsletters. My gallery and art show information are also found there.
