    Potential Residency Project

Most of my residence programs can be customized to fit the needs of your specific class curriculum and amount of days desired. Please reach out to me so we can discuss your specific needs and brainstorm a suitable program.

I also have a set of items that can be brought and shown during my residencies: a small block printing press, five digital cameras (for photography or videography), and a laser engraver and cutter (can be used for multiple projects).

Our Hands, Our Mascot - A Collaborative Window Art / Mural Project:
In this window tinting or mural project, students from kindergarten through high school can create artwork featuring the school mascot. Each student will outline their handprint and draw inside it using symbols to represent themselves. These handprints will be scanned and arranged into a square grid pattern to form images of the mascot. This project showcases student creativity and school pride in a collaborative way.

Personal Logo: Students will create a personal logo that represents their unique identity and values. Through a series of reflective questions and brainstorming activities, students will identify key values, traditions, symbols, and styles that best embody their essence. Using a laser cutter, they can bring their logo to life as a keychain, bookmark, or small sign.

Postage Stamps: Students will create a mock postage stamp that can be tailored to any subject (Kentucky landscapes, historical figures, scientific discoveries, etc). They will explore postage stamps to discover their history and essential elements. Then, utilize drawing tools or digital design software to create a stamp that can be printed as a sticker. It could also be paired with letter writing project based on the same subject. The cross-curricular connections are endless!

Finding Letters in Objects: Using cameras, provided by artist, students will walk around the room, school, etc, and find letters created by different objects. For example, an "x" in the cross of a metal chair. After finding them all, the photos will be combined to create an alphabet poster or inspirational phrase for the classroom.
