Bio
In 2010, I moved with my best friend from the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York to Morehead, KY. While in school at Morehead State University, we'd spend our weekends exploring the Daniel Boone National Forest, from fishing to hiking, discovering old furnaces, covered bridges, natural arches, waterfalls and beautiful vistas. Nine years later, I lost my best friend to asthma. Since then, I've rededicated time to why we moved to Kentucky: to explore its mystery and bask in its beauty. This region is our home, where we feel a sense of place and belonging. That sense is what I reflect in my landscape photography work.
My photographs have expanded through Appalachia and beyond. I always attempt to place you in the scene when the photo was taken. I aim to reflect my emotions and feelings when producing an image. I would love to provide less abled folks with that same rush of joy I experience when visiting a new place. And for abled people, I hope my photos inspire them to spend more time outside, experiencing the joy and beauty of Kentucky landscapes.
