Stained glass has been my passion for years. In 1986 I wanted to press a flower from my garden between two pieces of glass and make a suncatcher for my window. I visited The Stained Glass Shop in Glendale, Arizona and decided to take a class to learn how to do it myself. I came away from that class with a wonderful decoration and the determination to do more. I went back for other classes, and the business owner noticed that I had the skill for cutting glass and an eye for color and composition. They hired me to work in the glass shop, and there has been no looking back. Since that time, I have done windows, hangings, mobiles, suncatchers, jewelry boxes which are treasured chests, floral designs, lampshades and more!
There is nothing like the sun or a light streaming through the prism of stained glass. My pieces all reflect the fusion of texture, color and design in a comprehensive representation of life. Simple “cute" pieces are designed to bring a smile to your face and radiance to your heart. Sharing my work with everyone is my ideal, and so my range of work goes from the simple to the complex.
During most of my tenure in the glass business in Phoenix, I also taught people to create their own works, and appreciate the complexities of the medium. Teaching remains one of my most treasured activities. I am available for teaching via appointment only and am happy to collaborate with you to create a treasured heirloom. Glass never fades or tarnishes.
