My clocks are contemporary sculptures of Kentucky hardwoods as well as exotic and rare woods from around the globe finished with Tung oil and wax. I use no dyes or stains to change the color of the wood, thus preserving the wood’s true natural beauty.
The wooden gear clocks are one-of-a-kind art pieces. Each clock has over 200 individual wooden parts (36 in the dial alone). I laminate three solid-wood blanks together for each gear. I then cut and shape them into the profile of a true metal gear. With a custom-built motor, these clocks are accurate to within one second a month.
I also offer a line of clocks with battery-driven clock works. These very affordable clocks offer a variety of whimsical and artistic approaches to count away the seconds.
