Bio
I have a background in fine art, having earned my BFA from the Allen R. Hite College of Art at the University of Louisville. I combine that experience with my love of needlework in designing knit apparel; primarily hats and purses.
Several years ago I stumbled upon an old fashion technique of fulling or felting wool. This technique involves processing the wool through exposure to high heat and agitation. Through this process knitted wool changes from a loose collection of stitches to a tightly woven piece and and from that point the possibilities are endless.
As I design and hanmake each piece, I explore color, shape, texture and technique.
