Bio

Founded in 1939 by Father Joseph Emrich as the Holy Name Choral Club, the Louisville Chorus has grown into the longest-thriving, most frequently performing choral arts organization in Kentuckiana. Over 80 years later, the Chorus has continued its mission to bring powerful and diverse musical performances to the region, encompassing everything from classical choral masterworks to Broadway hits, Christmas traditions, and patriotic celebrations.

Now in our 87th season, under the leadership of Dr. David Borman III, the Louisville Chorus has begun an exciting new chapter of growth.

The Fleur de Lis Singers are a small chamber ensemble within the Louisville Chorus, founded by Dr. David Borman and Jenna Preston during their first season leading the organization. The ensemble exists to perform music at the highest artistic level and to carry that music into the community, reaching unique venues and spaces that a full chorus cannot easily get to. Their signature program is Harmony on the Move, a touring series that brings live music to community events, festivals, senior living facilities, and other gathering places across the region.
