Jaap Van Der Oort

I was born and raised on a farm in the midst of the Tulip region in Holland in the 60's, after being schooled there I joined the Royal Dutch Navy and traveled the world for a number of years while serving, meanwhile capturing many images.  My travels brought me to Kentucky where I settled in the beautiful Bluegrass area in the mid 80's and further developed my interest for photography partially because of encouragement by friends and partially due to the vast photographic opportunities.  If something catches my eye, I will try to capture it in a creative and unique way.  Our planet has much to offer that is worth capturing in an image for others to enjoy.
