Ellen Guyer
My ideas for my artwork come from everything around me. I rarely leave home without a camera and keep an extensive picture file. For some intuitive reason, I often put things together that would never be together in reality, such as a frog in the window of a Victorian home. Color is one of the most important elements in my work, whether I'm working with Prismacolor pencils or a mixed media piece using gouache, pencil and ink. I love creating art and I think my work expresses this feeling.
