I believe art is a reflection of the artist and all the experiences that represent the life of that particular artist. In this sense, any work of art is a self-portrait, regardless of the subject or the medium. The current stage of my artistic journey focuses on the perfection I find in nature and the desire to shift these images from the two dimensional reality of photography to multidimensional impressions created by using various illustrative and painterly techniques.

My process begins with either traditional or digital photography, using natural light and focusing the subject primarily on botanicals and nature scenes. Then I transform these photographs, utilizing a wide variety of computer and free-hand techniques. This second phase of creation reveals my passion for illustration and painting. The final effect is the painterly hallmark of my style. I produce each print on acid-free watercolor paper with quality pigmented inks.
