Pale, Stout and Amber

Drawing on the rich folk music traditions of Ireland and Scotland, Pale, Stout and Amber takes the listener on a journey not only across the Atlantic Ocean, but also deep into the roots of Appalachian and bluegrass music.

At the heart of Pale, Stout and Amber stands the abiding musical partnership of Art Mize and Robert Tincher. Since 1987, they have explored together the Celtic roots of their own eastern Kentucky musical heritage. Masterful fiddling in rich conversation with the Irish bouzouki is at the core of their sound, but you can also expect to hear the guitar, mandolin, viola, pennywhistle, Irish hand drum and compelling vocalizations as well.
