Osland Saxophone Quartet
The Osland Saxophone Quartet (OSQ) is based at the University of Kentucky and tours nationwide, performing jazz and classical programs and giving master classes. The OSQ is unique in that its repertoire spans both the jazz and classical genres. The Osland Sax Quartet’s performance experience is extensive and ranges from serving as Quartet-in-Residence at the famed Boston University’s Tanglewood Institute to opening the Master Musicians Festival in Somerset, KY. Quartet members include Miles Osland, Lisa Parent-Osland (tenor), who also teaches at the University of Kentucky, Larry Nelson (baritone) head of the saxophone department at Eastern Kentucky University, and Paul Haar (alto), professor of saxophone and jazz studies at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. All members are Selmer artists and clinicians.
