Mike Tracy
A veritable "Ambassador of Jazz," Mike Tracy is one of America’s foremost jazz educators and ensemble performers. For over twenty-five years, he has performed throughout the United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, Scotland, and Wales.
His performing career has placed him on stage as a soloist with such stars as Ella Fitzgerald, Buddy Rich, J.J. Johnson, Johnny Mathis, the Four Tops and the Temptations. He has also teamed up with jazz greats like David Liebman, Rufus Reid, Bobby Shaw, Jerry Coker, and Pat La Barbera for concerts and club appearances around the world. A two-time National Endowment for the Arts award winner, Tracy is also Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Louisville School of Music.
With performances at the Kentucky Governor’s Mansion and broadcasts on PBS and National Public Radio, Mike Tracy and friends will provide your patrons a front-row seat for the best in America’s classical music—jazz!
