The Louisville Chorus

Having enhanced the art of choral music for a phenomenal 69 seasons.  The Louisville Chorus is the longest-thriving, most frequently performing choral arts agency in the Commonwealth—also exceeding the longevity of opera, ballet, and theatre in the area. A member of Chorus America, The Louisville Chorus has had music chosen for nationwide broadcast on the first nationally distributed radio series to focus exclusively on the art of choral music performance.

With Dr. S. Timothy Glasscock as Artistic Director, the Chorus thrills audiences with the widest repertoire from choral masterworks with orchestra to pops, children-oriented, Broadway, and even Bluegrass. They have released professional CDs, recorded music for Hollywood movies, and perform regularly with other ensembles, including the Bellarmine Choral Touring Ensemble, young children in the JCPS system, and artists of the Youth Performing Arts School. The ensemble offers its own very active season of concerts and events, presents annual benefit concerts for charitable organizations, and performs for arts series throughout Kentuckiana. The Louisville Chorus strives to make the pleasure of choral music available to students and the general community through its education/outreach program.
