Lexington Children’s Theatre

Lexington Children's TheaterFounded in 1938, Lexington Children’s Theatre is one of the oldest, continuously operating theatres for young people in the country and is proud to be the State Children’s Theatre of Kentucky.

LCT believes every child should have the opportunity to experience live theatre. Lexington Children’s Theatre produces an eight-show season with productions suitable for a variety of age groups. Their productions are designed and built by skilled artisans and feature professional adult actors. The end result is a show conceived, designed, built, rehearsed and presented by LCT especially for young people.

Their Play Guide and online Play Guide at www.lctonstage.org are designed to help educators incorporate productions into their lesson plans.

Main Stage performances feature a larger cast and full-scale sets to accommodate larger presenting venues. Tour performances feature smaller, flexible scenery and two to four cast members, making them ideal for school multi-purpose rooms, community centers and libraries.
