Jennifer Rose

Jennifer Rose grew up singing and dancing with her family and community in Berea, Kentucky. While earning a vocal music degree at Berea College, she traveled throughout the United States, Japan, Denmark and Italy with the Berea College Country Dancers. Her performances are a superb combination of the entertaining and the educational. She carries her audiences to her Kentucky hills as she sings the emotional music of Appalachia, interspersed with humorous and informative stories about the region and its culture. Listeners comment, "I felt as though she were singing just to me," and "Jennifer’s voice is as clear as the mountain air."

Jennifer has been a full-time performer since 1993 with a busy schedule of national and international concert tours and educational seminars. Her two young daughters have begun performing with her at select venues, to the delight of audiences large and small. Jennifer has produced ten solo recordings of traditional music and published two teaching resources for traditional dance.  She and her family are featured on several KET publications, including Art to Heart and the Music Toolkit.
