Diane Earle
Diane Earle is a piano soloist as well as musical collaborator and has performed in six countries and twenty-seven states. A frequent soloist and education consultant with the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra, her Go for Baroque, I Got Rhythm and Sounds of the Symphony programs have met with considerable success, reaching 20,000 students from fourteen counties. Her performances include a variety of musical styles: from Baroque to contemporary, from classical to movie themes, from specialty programs such as “love" themes to Gershwin. Recent performance highlights have included recitals at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Grieg Piano Concerto for Opening Night with the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra in September 2007. For KET’s 2007 Music Toolkit, she performed and demonstrated American, Impressionist, and Modern music. She was honored in February 2007 by Kentucky Music Educators Association with the District II “Friend of Music” Award for her excellence in music education. She was invited to showcase the OSO education program at the American Symphony Orchestra League national convention in June 2007.
Diane holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance and Literature from Ohio State University and, for the past twenty-three years, has been a Professor of Music at Kentucky Wesleyan College. She has enjoyed recording several compact discs.
