Blind Corn Liquor Pickers
The Blind Corn Liquor Pickers are a highly original acoustic music group originally from Lexington, Kentucky. Over a dynamic four-year span they have grown from a local college-town party band into a musically complex, genre-mixing, storytelling phenomenon.
In March 2005, during weekend live and radio performances in Nashville, the band hooked up with acoustic music world guru and 8-time Grammy-winning producer and engineer Bil VornDick. Three months later they were in his studio. VornDick praised the band’s great vision and unique voice and promised to help them take that “next step.” Over several weeks, the band learned lessons in groove and unity while VornDick crafted new recording methods to replicate their incredible, high-energy live performances in his studio.
Listen to the Blind Corn Liquor Pickers and enjoy myriad influences: the ‘grass influences of Monroe, the storytelling lyrics of Texas country, the reckless slap bass of rockabilly, and the progressive edge of early alternative pop.
