Programs that May Utilize Roster Artists
Community Scholar Survey Program (application available only to Kentucky Community Scholars) The purpose of the Community Scholar Survey Grant Program is to support Community Scholars' efforts to document, conserve, and present local folk culture.
The goals of the Community Scholar Survey Program are:
- To further locally based folklife research in Kentucky using the Kentucky Folklife Program's guidelines for cultural surveys.
- To develop partnerships with local organizations or events, and share archival research with the partnering organization(s) and the Kentucky Folklife Program.

Folk Arts Project Program http://artscouncil.ky.gov/gtprogs.htm The purpose of the Folklife Program, a collaborative program between the Kentucky Arts Council and the Kentucky Historical Society, is to honor, strengthen and make visible the stylistic and cultural variety of the folk and traditional arts that exist in the commonwealth. Folk Arts Project grants support research, interpretation, and presentation of local and regional folk arts.
Teacher Initiated Program (TIP) http://artscouncil.ky.gov/gtprogs.htm The purpose of the Teacher Initiated Program (TIP) is to help teachers bring professional artists into Kentucky schools and communities for 1 to 4 week residencies to demonstrate their art forms and share their creativity with students and teachers.
